Meditating on the idea of an imaginary savior, in the artifice of both language and cultural association. The sculpture has a pull-up bar on the back, fashioned as bananas. I tried to do a pull up on the banana bars on the back, a few times, then I’m in, sliding out of its mouth, down my mom’s arms (across time!). Land in a roll. A feat to be overcome to achieve actualization, or an unknown “other side”. She is so dead! I was thinking about the role the dragon played. If the dragon was my mother, if it is me, if it’s somehow reflexive.
